SS-b&w-furnace-necklace

The Snow Queen necklace will end up being between 60 - 62.5cm (24 - 25”) in length, depending on your choice of sizes in the hammered rings and the beads.

Project Idea - River run Necklace

copper-enamel-with-teardrop

List of Components:

  • 28 copper jumprings
  • 24 teardrops
  • 1 enamel pendant
  • 56cm copper chain or shorter if you prefer
  1. Choose an enamel pendant & highlight colours from our range of teardrops: we chose spring dew & pastel yellow to draw out colours in the pendant
  2. Choose the copper chain - we used CC003
  3. Cut the chain into 4 different lengths: 41cm, 3cm, 3cm and 8.5cm
  4. For 12 of the copper jumprings, slip two teardrops on each jumpring to make 12 teardrop jumprings
  5. To join the teardrop jumprings together, add a jumpring between each of them to make four beaded lengths so you’ll have: two 2 teardrop jumprings plus 3 jumprings, and two 4 teardrop jumprings plus 5 jumprings
  6. For the asymmetric necklace shown, we’re building up both sides from the bottom, so add one small beaded length to one end of the 8.5cm chain and one longer beaded length to the other end of the 8.5cm chain to start the necklace chain
  7. Add 3cm chain to each of the ends of the necklace chain
  8. Add one small beaded length to one end of the necklace and a longer beaded length to the other end
  9. Add the longest chain length to the necklace chain, using the copper jumprings.  No need to have a lobster clasp as it will fit over your head.  Unless you prefer to use a clasp!
  10. Open a copper jumpring and slip on the pendant, find halfway on the pendant and attach to the chain
  11. To make it chunkier, add just add more copper jumprings and teardrops

Project Idea - Firefly Necklace

Firefly-necklace03
  1. Set out beads & jumprings to see the necklace pattern at the start.
  2. Thread the cotton cord through the components in this order: crimp, 3mm ball, bead cap, Swarovski, furnace glass tube, Swarovski, bead cap, Swarovski, furnace glass tube, Swarovski, bead cap, 3mm ball, crimp.
  3. Decide what length of necklace you prefer and cut the ends accordingly.
  4. Slip over the end crimps and using your snipe nose pliers, press in the middle section of each of the end crimps to secure.
  5. To secure the components in place on the necklace:  Hold the two end crimps together using one hand and with the other, slide your thumb and forefinger down the cotton cord so it pushes all the components together.  Using your snipe nose pliers, press the crimps on either side of the whole section of components to secure them all on the necklace.
  6. Add the lobster clasp to one of the end crimps.
  7. To make the dangle part, slip components onto the headpin in the sequence: 3mm ball, bead cap, Swarovski, furnace glass tube, Swarovski, bead cap, 3mm ball.
  8. Wire wrap the headpin to make it secure.
  9. Use a small open jumpring to attach the dangle to the bail of the necklace
