David Christensen Furnace Glass Beads

Purple Beech Designs sources only the finest hand crafted beads.  David Christensen’s work represents true artistry - created from blown furnace glass, stretched, then very finely polished and finished.  He has been working with glass for over 18 years and perfected the technique of a clear finish with rounded edges both inside and outside.  This give the glass extra resilience and a beautiful shining clarity.   The finished pieces are available in myriad colours and deliver optimum light reflection.  That’s why we love to use them.  We incorporate a variety of sizes in our pieces - from 5mm to larger sizes of 20mm or more.  The beads are sold by weight.

We have all kinds of bead shapes: round, triangular, square, tubular, hearts and flowers.  Choose from either thin “slices” or thick “chubs”.  Have a look at the photos - each one shows the shapes available for that particular bead.
