In a small workshop on what was once a part of Karen von Blixen's coffee plantation, ceramic jewelry and beads are made by Kenyan women. Many of the beads and necklace components are tiny. Each one is carefully shaped, polished, fired, painted and fired again. The outcome is KAZURI, the Swahili word for "small and beautiful".  Kazuri is a member of the Fair Trade Act.

These borosilicate pieces created by Unicorne Beads are individually handcrafted in the USA from highly skilled glassblowers.  Custom mixed colours, and sometimes dichroic, gives the rich natural colour characteristic of Unicorne borosilicate beads.
No two beads are ever exactly the same, so a natural fluidity is created that transfers into your designs.
